Policy Regarding Support for Conferences
The efforts of the SILC are more effective when more people with disabilities in the community participate. This is especially true when these people are educated and informed. By attending SILC meetings and giving testimony, you make the SILC more representative of your concerns.
In 2013, the SILC renewed its commitment to direct more funds to the state Independent Living Network by reducing its operating costs. This priority created the need to define when indirect support is available. This policy describes the criteria used to justify the decision to provide indirect support.
